State Farm® Insurance Agent Melissa Eldridge

"I do not make a habit of writing negative comments because people do make mistakes. But, when an agency keeps having mistakes and excuses, I felt I should comment about this agent office. If you use this agency, DOUBLE CHECK EVERYTHING THEY DO FOR YOU. I have another agent office for different business matters and that agency is phenomenal. Auto and homeowners insurance is extremely important and it is important the agent office performs well. We, unfortunately, keep having problems at Melissa Etheridge State Farm Agency. In 2025, this agency never resolved a simple issue for us. My husband decided to get involved and he called in 2025 and asked to speak to Melissa Etheridge. She was in a meeting. To this date ( March 11, 2026), Melissa has never called my husband. In January 2026, I called to have collision removed from my vehicle because the vehicle is 20 years old and it no longer is feasible to have collision coverage. In March, I received a letter from our tag office that liability was also removed from my vehicle and I owed a fine. I had been driving with no liability insurance since January. I called my agents office and scheduled a telephone appointment the next morning at 10 a.m. with a manager to resolve this error they had made. The manager FINALLY called me at 11. I sat at my desk waiting for that call for 50 minutes. That is a long time past a scheduled appointment time. I was extremely busy this date and I lost 50 minutes waiting on this call. The manager corrected their mistake. I asked them to contact the tax office and correct the matter there. I never got any follow up communication that the issue with the tag office has been resolved. Then, On March 10th, I learned liability was also put back on a truck we own that is inoperable. So, now we are paying for liability insurance on a truck that is never driven. We did not want liability put on the inoperable truck. Evidently, the manager added liabilty to the inoperable truck when she put liability back on my Expedition. I phoned on March 10th to speak with CeCe. ( manager). She was in a meeting and I never heard back from her. So, did she remove liability off the inoperable truck without any follow up to me? On March 11th at 8am, liability is still showing up on my online account on this truck. Underwriting sure is going to have a difficult time figuring out my bill with all these mistakes and policy changes made by this agency. And will I accutually be credited correctly when all is corrected? I can only hope so."

"I was recently rear-ended in a not-at-fault accident and have been going through the process of filing the claim to have the car repaired, etc. Yesterday, I contacted Melissa because the State Farm claims department had provided some confusing information in regard to recovering my expenses. Melissa called me right away and got the claims department on the phone to clear everything up. The process, which had been dragging out, was resolved the same day, and claims contacted the other driver's insurance to have a repair refund check sent to me. While Melissa has several employees, I appreciate the fact that she will personally get involved to ensure that her clients' issues are resolved quickly."
